Chairman's Report

The 2003 grass racing season has now come to a close. This season has been very good for the club, both weather wise and with increase in the membership. On the financial front the clubs future is looking bright. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have helped the club. There have been too many to name, but I would like you all to acknowledge those who water the track on race meet weekends and the team of soil shifters.

At the end of our summer meetings around 200 tons of top soil was spread on the field and over sown with meadow grass seed, hopefully ensuring the continued quality of the field for next year's meetings.

For the winter season the club has been able to book the Kings' Lynn Speedway track on Sunday 9th November 2003 for a race meeting. If this is successful further dates could be arranged, but of course this will depend on your support.

Finally, thank you for supporting the club this year and here's hoping that next year will be as successful.

David Wenn (Chairman)
